3. Cultural Keystone Species inform stewardship practices for biocultural conservation

Cultural Keystone Species are plant, animal, or fungal species of utmost cultural salience to a specific sociocultural group. Because of their cultural resilience, they are often cared for through stewardship practices, which could be key to achieving long-term, effective biodiversity conservation.
